- Community Dumpster came 12 May and went 14 May. Only one incidence of improper dumping was reported, a propane tank.

November 2009:
- Community Clean-up Dumpster came 2-4 Nov 2009. (letter)
- Unregistered vehicles/Non-certificate business reported (letter)
- Pod used as shed at residence cited (letter)
- Oversize Commercial Truck parked in residence driveway cited (letter) and reported to county (link)

October 2009:
- 06OCT2009: Many Ternwing Drive cars were burglarized last night. At least this time it appears that no windows were broken. LOCK UP YOUR CARS! Anne Arundel County vx mail msg on this (link)

September 2009:
- Received a compaint about the yard of 321 Ternwing. Concern that address is not occupied. I called the owner, but there was no answer and voicemail was full. I visited. The young man that answered wouldn't speak to me unless I could produce proof I was from the Homeowner's Community Assoc. I took pictures, went back to HiddenRidge HQ and issued a letter to the owner. (Letter) Issue was taken care of within 24 hours. Continued! I received this letter on 12 October (Letter).

August 2009

May 2009 -
Free Shred-A-Rama - 16 May 9am to 1pm, shred your documents in any of 4 locations - flier.
Community Yard Sale Day - Saturday 16 May. Got a notice in the Pennysaver, but cost $30.
Bonfire / Cookout in the Park held Saturday 16 May. Fun had by all! Weather held out far beyond expectations.

21 Apr 2009 -
1. Had a board meeting last week.. trying to arrange a bonfire/hot dog night in the park in May and a more major party in the park for July (around the 4th).
2. 299 Ternwing was bought by Georgios Mangos and Sarah Ferguson.
3. 369 Ternwing was bought by Dylan and Rhani Mcmanus. I talked to them the other night, they have a daughter in 3rd grade and a son in first.
4. The county executive is having a Community Connections Day on Sat 25 April, 1-4 pm flier
5. Human Relatios Commision of AA county - Fair Housing Symposium 27 April. flier.
6. AA County Emergency Mgt office is offering training (Emergency/Disaster Response Teams) on 2 and 3 May. 9am-5pm in Millersville. flier.
7. Only one household has yet to pay 2007 dues. Only three have yet to pay for 2008. Several have already paid for 2009. Please don't force me to hunt you down :-)

28 Mar 2009 :
1. Musician's ROEDOWN tailgate for MS on 5 April! Neighborhood talent is involved!! see links: Flyer1, Poster, Flyer2
2. The annual Easter Egg Hunt is planned for 5 April, with rain day 11 April. Time: 3 pm. 3 age groups: 0-4, 5-9, 10 and up. Need some good ideas for gifts for 10 and up. Flier will be delivered.

13 Mar 2009 - From a neighbor who spoke with the guys doing work down the hill on Ternwing. They are fixing the sidewalks where the trees (by the curb) and utilities shifted them. Good to know. Also, they appear to have done their annual drain of the pond that forms at the bottom of recreation area 'A' (Ternwing) from the park storm drain runoff. Laura B. saw them in hipwaders, headed down to the 'pond'.

13 Mar 2009 - Whoever put personal items (mostly baby toys/accessories) in the dumpster by the Ternwing Ct. cul-de-sac,: PLEASE come back and get your stuff! The dumpster is only for the concrete (not our personal stuff).

10 Mar 2009 - Results of Ternwing Traffic Survey from November. About 1890 vehicles per day at an average of 28 mph. Eventhough the speed limit is 25, the county won't pitch in on speed humps unless the average speed is over 30. So next time.. Go Faster. Overhead View

28 Feb 2009 - Bonfire held in the park to celebrate the end of February, and to get rid of all the remaining brush from the park clean up. Some progress was made in draining the stagnant pond at the bottom of Rec Area "A" (Thanks Larry).

27 Feb 2009 - Christina reported to me that a neighbor's car near the bottom of Ternwing had a window smashed, and money taken from a purse on Friday night. Keep an eye out!

23 Feb 2009 - 369 Ternwing Drive: Eviction conducted by police without incident. Neighborhood breathes a sigh of relief. Only took 5 years to get to this point. Hermit Ron was escorted by police out of the neighborhood permanently.

21 Feb 2009 - Recieved notice from AA County that they will no longer general mailings the County Council Schedule (mostly pending land use actions), as these schedules and agenda are posted on their website. I added links to the County Council Schedule and the Meeting Agenda pages to our Useful Links page (see upper right of this page).

19 Feb 2009 - Received word of pending eviction of resident of a house on Ternwing, scheduled for 0900 23 Feb. Passed word to Board members and immediate neighbors. The lone resident has been barricaded in the house for months/years, and unresponsive to court actions regarding ownership/possession of the house. He is not expected to be compliant. Multiple law enforcement officers will be involved.

16 Feb 2009 - Received letter from the county regarding the community clean up program. Hidden Ridge will get a dumpster 2-4 November. Current plan is for it to be placed at 342 Ternwing Drive (Larry and Kirsten's). (letter).

09 Feb 2009 - HCA Board meeting held. (Minutes) Notable items:

19 Nov 2008 - Report from a good neighbor in Brightleaf: Cat stuck in storm drain: The daughter heard someone on the school bus say that a cat fell into a storm drain at the corner of Ternwing Dr. and Ternwing Ct. From Debra - "When I got home from work in the evening, we rode down and checked, and there she was, scared and ready to get out. I called animal control, they couldn't help, called the police, they couldn't help, then the fire department. Jones Station Fire company came out and popped the grate and lowered the cat's owner down. The cat, named Julia, came right to him, and they hoisted him out. What a happy ending. If any one noticed the fire truck out last Wednesday (19 Nov), that's what they were doing. If anything like this ever happens to neighbors, call the fire company"
23 Nov 2008 - A group of boys has been bothering the houses at the border between Brighleaf and Hidden Ridge - especially about 1 hour after dark on Fridays. It seems that these kids may be meeting in the woods near that dead end stub of Silverleaf. Please consider adding some additional vigilance to routine... in support of our serene little community. Enough of us have cameras handy, please feel free to forward any pictures.. I'll be glad to track down the parents.
23 Nov 2008 - Signs that I had put in place at the park entrances last year have been removed (the park rules, 'Playground' with an arrow. The playground sign post and an bunch of pumpkin remains are currently in the middle of the park.
23 Nov 2008 - letter from a Brightleaf resident, concerned about traffic and speeding on the Brightleaf section of Ternwing.
26 Nov 2008 - Graffiti appeared on the backstop of the baseball field in the park, along with plenty of pumpkin remains and the park sign post.
26 Nov 2008 - A good neighbor, patrolling intersection Ternwing and Silverleaf reports that 5 minors in a vehicle were busted by police for pot. One was from Edgewater, another from Pasadena, no info (yet) on the other three.
29 Nov 2008 - A good neighbor has already painted over the Graffiti (Thanks Jen!). The two missing signs were located. I'll pick 'em up. The frog on the giant spring is damaged. The spring is broken. The frog is in a backyard near the playground equipment.
30 Nov 2008 - Signs and Frog have been retrieved and are in the back of Marc's pickup truck.

20 Oct 2008 - President received complaint, issued yard maintenance letter to 1115 Silverleaf. (Nov 2008 - issue resolved).
19 Oct 2008 - Kids Halloween Parade held (Thanks Nancy!)
17 Oct 2008 - Community Bonfire in Park. Good turnout. Good time had by all.
