III.      Approval of minutes from last meeting

President read the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as read.

IV.      Open issues

a)      Review of overdue Homeowner Dues – 27 of 144 outstanding for 2009.  Treasurer will send out late notices soon.

b)      Marc will follow up with Matt Divens later this summer on fence line survey and remediation once Matt and Patricia are both back from Central America (hopefully with their newly adopted daughter Sarahi).

c)      Treasurer Actions: Reimbursed Marisa Sherman for Easter Candy (just got the receipt).  Will reimburse Victor Corgan for dues mailing when receive receipt.  Funding appears to be enough to keep the park cut for the rest of the season. Advised lawn maintenance crew (Bryan).

d)      Treasurer suggested some sort of welcome gift for new neighbors.  Motion passed.  Treasurer to look into options for approval at next meeting… next time.

e)      Still looking for receipt from Victor for the postage for sending out the dues letter.

V.      New business

a)      Hidden Ridge Bog Issue: A neighbor on Silverleaf is concerned with the level of the bog which is at least partly on Hidden Ridge Rec Area “a” (the wooded area below the park).  President took a look and saw that runoff from the bog down to the Magothy marsh has eroded the area below the bog and exposed several large electric power cables.  Picture posted on hiddenridgeonline.com.  President contacted county BG&E.  BG&E put down a safety issue, but has yet to contact me back.

b)      Playground equipment: spring toy.  Jaime will check with a local contact to see if can be repaired. Laura has info on two companies in Baltimore that deal with this equipment. A new one (not installed) is $800.

c)      Another successful Bonfire on 1 Aug.  Made $27 on hot dogs.  $ delivered to treasurer.

d)      Let’s shoot for a Hot Dog night fund-raiser in the park Saturday, 12 September.

e)      Cabs/commercial vehicles parking in neighborhood.  No rules against.

f)        Next Meeting – Monday, 14 September 2009.
