The red block is the approximate area of the erosion ditch and exposed cables.

5. The Bog.. pretty low.. surprisingly, I didn't see any mosquitos. Notice the beaver cut tree in the forground.. there is a county sewer manhole under it (better shots of this further below).

9. Below, you can see were a channel was cut to drain the bog... water was running toward the bottom of the picture.

13. this culver is downslope from the bog and appear to run directly underneath the bog..

17. here is a snake I saw in the bog! I looked it up, it is a northern brown water snake.. which eat fish! check out video I found on web! (Link)
18. i found a shovel down near the culvert and used it to stop the flow in the channel above the cables.
